Split Negative Technique

I was surfing Splitcoast Stampers for the first time in a long time, and it felt soooo good to have my stamping urge back :)Decided to have a look at the technique challenge, and was intrigued by the idea of a 'split negative'. The idea behind the technique is that you stamp your image on two coordinating colors of cardstock, using versamark and/or two different colors of craft ink, then emboss....with a colored powder if using versamark, or with clear embossing powder over craft. Then you take a deep breath and cut your image straight down the middle, line up the two images and mount.

Details of the supplies used are here: Mon Ami Anniversary

I originally decided this card would be for hubby for our anniversary, but guess what? I put it away and totally forgot about it! Maybe I'll hang on to it for next year.....or, uh, Valentine's Day is coming soon, right?
