Actually it was The Antioch Company, parent company to Creative Memories that filed for Chapter 11 and is restructuring debt. Creative Memories is alive and well and business as usual.
Welcome to my blog! My name is Marla and my wonderful husband, George, and I are parents to 9 fantastic kids (well, many are young adults now) ~ Nicole, Shara, Derek, Aidan, Jade, Briar, Britanie, Kristopher and of course, Kelton.
In our previous lives, George was a correctional officer at a maximum security jail and I was the executive director of the local branch of the Lung Association. Our lives changed dramatically in 1997 when George was in a horrendous auto accident and suffered a brain injuy. As a result, neither of us works outside the home now, and we live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada in the summer months, and Sarasota, Florida in the winter. On Sept. 12, 2007 our lives changed dramatically once again when our beautiful house burned to the ground. We are still reeling from the shock of losing everything we owned, but are busy trying to rebuild our lives.
